Solar PV System for Education Facility
The University of Wollongong is an Australian public research university with over 35,000 students enrolled and 130,000+ alumni. Ranked 29th amongst the world’s best modern universities, its main campus is set in the native Australian bush in the coastal city of Wollongong.
The Green Guys Group conducted a comprehensive feasibility study and provided a suitable Solar PV solution to meet all the relevant standards. The system has been successfully delivered across two stages, totalling 671.63 kW.
STAGE 1 of solar PV install for University of Wollongong covered installation a total of 242.8kW across 3 sites and upgrade works on a pre-existing solar PV system. Over the span of 5 months, we completed three new installations and recommissioned one existing solar generation system.
STAGE 2 of the project covered the installation of a total of 428.83kW across 11 sites. Our design services included several stages of design executed by two CEC accredited designers. PV layouts and shading analysis designs were executed for the tender submission and later the grid connection and approval submission. A final construction design complete with a bill of materials was completed with the information collected by the installer during the electrical site inspection.
Attention to detail and experience in design was crucial to this project and the team rose to the challenge. We made sure that we communicated well with the client and ensured that requirements, scope, and expectations were laid out.
The Green Guys Group worked closely with our team to successfully deliver solar system across 3 different sites. We’re highly satisfied with their top-notch communication and flexibility following our stringent construction schedules and engineering guidelines. The team has been self-sufficient and quick at solving problems that arose during installation. I highly recommend The Green Guys Group for their excellent service and proven solar system.
