Regency Apartments is a luxury apartment building complex composed of two high rise towers. The complex is located in the major business and residential district of Chatswood, NSW.

PROJECT GOALS

In addition to replacing the high-wattage halogen and fluorescent lights in the common areas, the building management sought after a renewable energy solution to supply additional power to the buildings with less reliance on the National Grid.

OUR SOLUTION

The height of the two towers combined with the sloping roof posed safety challenges that required detailed risk and safety management. The standard racking system is made for buildings that are less than 20m in height. Both of Regency’s two towers exceeded that height limit – the higher tower is 83m and the lower tower is 57m. The Green Guys Group delivered a tailored Solar PV System on a mounting system specifically designed for each building. Combined with the LED lighting upgrade, Regency Apartments have successfully reduced their energy consumption and costs.
