Lyndoch Living
PROJECT GOALS
To align the lighting infrastructure of its well-established buildings with the standards set by its newer constructions, a thorough lighting audit was conducted with the dual objectives of reducing energy consumption through the installation of LED lights and enhancing the overall lighting quality within the premises, particularly in areas where the existing fixtures were outdated and inefficient
OUR SOLUTION
The comprehensive LED lighting upgrade spanned various areas of the Lyndoch Living complex, including residents’ rooms, staff offices, communal spaces, corridors, kitchens, stairwells, and plant rooms. Over 600 outdated fluorescent light fittings were replaced with cutting-edge, energy-efficient LED fixtures. This extensive upgrade was completed within a concise timeframe of just 5 days, ensuring that the day-to-day operations of Lyndoch Living were not disrupted.
With the aid of government subsidies through the Victorian Energy Upgrades program, Lyndoch Living as a not-for-profit organisation not only bolsters its sustainability efforts but also ensures that the financial savings realised can be reinvested into further improving the quality of life for its residents and the broader community they serve.
